Anxiety and depression can leave you feeling unmotivated. The last thing you may want to do is get up and go. We get it. It’s why we created this online community. We know that motivation and happiness come easier when you’re feeling good. Plus, energy isn’t just physical. There’s also mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual and other types of energies.

Use this 2 step practice to move into motivation

STEP ONE: TUNING IN AND IDENTIFYING

If you’re feeling tired, pause and close your eyes.

Take a deep breath, hold it, and then give a long exhale out.

Tune into your body.

Where do you feel tired specifically? Identify it by bring your attention to this area.

Now, with awareness, begin to get clear on what exactly is causing these tired feelings.

Is it one thing....several things?

Get clear on these answers. Hold them in your mind.

Here’s a FREE RESOURCE to help you relax and tune into your body to receive answers.

STEP TWO: SETTING BOUNDARIES

Now that you know the cause of what is tiring you out, what is one simple boundary you can set to start making this a non-issue?

Is it a boundary with family, friends, work, or perhaps with yourself?

Can these be spoken boundaries, changes to your schedule to allow for more “you time”, emailed boundaries?

Take out a sheet of paper and write down one or more simple boundaries you can put into affect that demonstrate you are making your energy a priority.

Now that you’re clear on what’s depleting your energy, your practice becomes making your energy a priority.

Boundaries help you balance your energy. Balanced energy leaves you feeling more motivated.

Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup.
